What exactly do you do?

I manage the Growth Marketing team at DoubleDown, overseeing our User Acquisition, Retention & Monetization efforts, as well as any new games we have coming up the pipeline.

Why is your company so awesome?

DoubleDown is a great company for many reasons, but mainly the people. There’s a reason why people have been working in the company for over 10 years, everyone is smart, outgoing and very talented. It also helps when you’re a gamer in a gaming company, we are constantly publishing new games in different verticals, which saturate the company portfolio and bring in different types of players.

What is your favorite perk at your company?

The company events are amazing, our experience team is going all out and are organizing great events year long. Last one was a party at a vineyard! We also have a fully stacked kitchen with snacks and beverages in the office which is always a great perk.

 

What is your favorite game genre and why?

I am a big FPS enthusiast, as well as RPG’s – among my favorite games are Call Of Duty, Apex legends, God of war, Ghost of tsushima, and a 3rd person indie game called Sifu, a really unique experience for gamers.

UA VS Retargeting - Equally important for all apps?

Depends on the stage of the App. When an app is brand new, UA is definitely much more important as you are building your player base, but once the app has been out there for quite some time, you have to put emphasis on your existing players to maximize your success, offering tailor made promotions to your player base, while still continuing the flow of new users to the app.

How involved should game designers, analysts, data scientists, and product managers be in the growth advertising activity?

It’s a team effort to drive success, and we need all parties to be involved to make it happen. The growth marketing team is working very closely with our data scientists, in-house studio and product managers to drive the best user experience to our player base. The great thing about DoubleDown is that all teams are involved in game development and decision making, driving the best conclusion based on each team’s expertise.

Complex creatives or straight to the point?

See what your player’s base reacts to best. In the Social Casino industry, most players are older at 35-40+, and they tend to react best to simple and straightforward creatives.

What are your pillars for a successful and scalable activity?

What was your first gaming platform and how many months of your childhood did you spend on it?

PlayStation! I have been a loyal consumer ever since I was a kid and had every console they released, all of them.

If you had to choose 1 game to play while stuck at home during the 2020 COVID ERA, what game would it be?

I would play Ghost of tsushima, the visuals are amazing and there is an expansion pack I have not yet completed.

If you hadn’t picked this career, what career would you never do or be the worst at?

An event/trip planner, when it comes to planning events or trips I’m as bad as it get (My wife is amazing at it, so never needed that skill).
