"The world is changing. New generations don’t grow up watching TV and aren't used to ads; they grow up watching Netflix and other streaming platforms that are ad-free and consequently see straight-to-the-point ads as intrusive and soulless."

What exactly do you do?

I’m VP of Marketing, leading the teams in charge of UA, retargeting, ASO, Ad monetization & the teams that support these activities through creative production.

Why is your company so awesome?

This is a difficult one to answer because there are so many amazing things about Bagelcode. Yet, if I had to pick one that resonates with me, it would be its growth mindset culture. Growth is at the core of the business strategy and values. Our company is constantly growing, and as a result the challenges we tackle change in nature and scale. We are constantly encouraged to develop and level up to meet those challenges. That’s just awesome.

What is your favorite perk at the company?

Its people – the best and the brightest from around the world, at all levels of the company. The nicest too.

Complex creatives or straight to the point?

In the past I would have said 100% straight to the point, as it is better for direct response.
Now my answer would be more measured. The world is changing. New generations don’t grow up watching TV and aren’t used to ads; they grow up watching Netflix and other streaming platforms that are ad-free and consequently see straight-to-the-point ads as intrusive and soulless.

What was your first gaming platform and how many months of your childhood did you spend on it?

My first gaming platform was a Nintendo Game & Watch, where I played the Octopus (!) Yeah, man. I’m that old!

What are your pillars for a successful and scalable activity?

First and foremost, a high performing team; a highly specialized group of people who pursues excellence and have a strong sense of commitment and accountability, collaborates to reach shared goals and complements each other’s expertise, who are not afraid to relentlessly try new things, even if most of those things ultimately don’t work. That’s the backbone; a successful and scalable activity is just a natural result of such a team, provided that the product you are advertising is strong enough to be scaled up.

If you were a character in a gaming app, who would you be?

Definitely a Pac-Man 😀
